Art's value is its expression and communication. What does "We The People" mean? How do the six purposes of the United States Constitution, found in the Preamble, relate to the African Diaspora across the globe - across history? The exhibiting artists bring to us their vision, transcending geographical and racial boundaries. We invite the attendees to consider for yourselves the meaning and purpose of the United States Constitution.

THE PREAMBLE

We the People of the United States, in Order to

form a more perfect Union,

establish Justice,

insure domestic Tranquility,

provide for the common Defense,

promote the general Welfare,

and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,

do ordain and establish

this Constitution for the United States of America.

We look forward to seeing you at the opening reception. Meet the artists and have a great time! Not to talk politics, but to focus on the We The People, and how that resonates with you.
